According to a report from Turkish outlet Takvim, Liverpool will make a move to sign Trabzonspor keeper Ugurcan Cakir at the end of the season – but these Reds supporters aren’t exactly keen on swooping for the shot-stopper.
Cakir, who has averaged a fairly impressive record for the Super Lig side this season, conceding just 27 goals in 25 games, keeping four clean sheets, is reportedly attracting Jurgen Klopp’s attention as he scours the market for a back-up to Alisson.
Will Liverpool sign Cakir?
No truth in it atoll
Despite already having Adrian to fulfil that role, Takvim report that Liverpool are among the most prestigious sides chasing Cakir’s signature – resulting in some fans berating the links and conceding the rumour as ‘crazy‘ on Twitter.

I doubt LFC would pay £17M for a rookie back up keeper in a climate when they’re seemingly wary of opening their chequebook for a proven player like Timo Werner https://t.co/Bkbhx7L09y

We don’t know if we can afford Werner yet but we’ve found £25m for a back up keeper pic.twitter.com/Zy8PQECnyl

So we can’t spend £50M on Werner but are willing to drop 20 on a backup goalie when we have Karius and Adrian
