According to a report from Turkish outlet Takvim, Liverpool will make a move to sign Trabzonspor keeper Ugurcan Cakir at the end of the season – but these Reds supporters aren’t exactly keen on swooping for the shot-stopper.

Cakir, who has averaged a fairly impressive record for the Super Lig side this season, conceding just 27 goals in 25 games, keeping four clean sheets, is reportedly attracting Jurgen Klopp’s attention as he scours the market for a back-up to Alisson.

Will Liverpool sign Cakir?

Despite already having Adrian to fulfil that role, Takvim report that Liverpool are among the most prestigious sides chasing Cakir’s signature – resulting in some fans berating the links and conceding the rumour as ‘crazy‘ on Twitter.

One supporter pointed out that Klopp is unlikely to spend £17 million on a ‘rookie‘, the keeper’s past reported value, while other fans simply flocked to social media in bemusement.
