18-year-old goalkeeper Harvey Davies has extended his contract at Liverpool after an impressive summer that saw the youngster win the European Championships with England’s U19 squad.

Davies made the trip to Thailand and Singapore with Jurgen Klopp’s first team and made an appearance against Crystal Palace in the Reds’ 2-0 win.

The youngster then appeared in last night’s fixture against RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena, which saw the Reds enjoy a five-goal feast.

Davies looked solid in both pre-season outings and will be hoping to push on in his Liverpool career with some more cameo appearances during the 2022/2023 campaign.

The 18-year-old has been with Liverpool since the U9 level and it’s always nice seeing academy prospects emerge through the ranks to gain professional contracts with the club.

Goalkeepers at the club seem to be flourishing under the guidance of coach John Achterberg at the moment and long may it continue; it seems Liverpool are in safe hands for years to come.
