Liverpool are reportedly ready to listen to offers for right-back Neco Williams, with the club close to agreeing a fee for Aberdeen defender Calvin Ramsay.

According to SI, Nottingham Forest and Fulham have launched bids for the 21-year-old defender; Williams spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham.

The report claims Crystal Palace are also keen to bring the defender to the club and are exploring options to do so, Liverpool have put a £15m price tag on the Welshman.

The bids put in by Fulham and Nottingham Forest are in the region of 12m-15m, a fee the Reds would be willing to accept with add-ons.

Williams deserves some first-team football and proved he has the talent to mix it at the top level of English football in brief cameos for Jurgen Klopp’s team over the last few seasons.

The Welshman flourished during his spell at Fulham, where he helped the club gain promotion to the Premier League; this will do no harm in Liverpool selling the defender for a higher price.

It seems inevitable now with Calvin Ramsay’s arrival that Williams is nearing the Anfield exit door, it’s a shame to see the talented youngster leave the club, however, for the right price, this is a good move for all parties.
