Liverpool have only 9 points left to play for in this year’s battle in the Premier League.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Liverpool find themselves heading towards the end of May, Liverpool sit in third place in the Premier League table on 69 points and the title is now out of reach effectively with us being 12 points behind Chelsea and they continue to hold a game in hand as well.

Tottenham Hotspur are mathematically within reach but that would now be a stretch, with them also holding a game in hand.

Below us are Manchester City by two points, with a game in hand on us, so the main focus has to be on taking maximum points from each game as it comes and at least solidifying a return to Champions League for the year of 2017/18.

In making sure we achieve that, anything else that follows will take care of itself.
