The January transfer window, as we expected, turned out to be a quiet one for Liverpool.

We didn’t expect the club to spend big and that turned out to be the case.

However, with the club announcing their financial results and it emerging that the club had made a world record profit, of £106 million, would it be correct to hope that the forthcoming transfer window would be different, and that Liverpool will spend big?

According to the news vehicle, Teamtalk, that will not be the case.

Apparently, our manager, Jurgen Klopp, has dismissed any such talk that this will be a summer of spending with the club having lavish funds available.

To me, that seems the correct approach to take, this season has shown that we are a damn good side and bringing in too many players could destabilise what we have.

If anything, all Klopp needs to do is strengthen the squad a little, when it comes to its depth.

Is that a view you concur with or would you beg to differ?
