The last gasp 96th goal that gave Liverpool a famous win over Everton, on Sunday, was most welcome.

It gave Jurgen Klopp the three points he craved to ensure that his side kept on the coat tails of the current Premier League leaders, Manchester City.

Last night, Manchester City stretched that two-point lead when they travelled to Vicarage Road and beat Watford 2-1.

City winning means that Liverpool have to do the business tonight in what is always a tricky fixture, Burnley away.

Turf Moor can be an unforgiving place and although Burnley, managed by Sean Dyche, have seen their form dip this season, will provide Liverpool with a stiff test, a test that could determine whether we really can challenge Manchester City for the title or whether we’ll fall by the wayside.
