For me, Mohamed Salah has been one of the best players in the world since he made the switch to Merseyside in 2017, with him scoring goals galore and helping the club to the Champions League and Premier League titles.

Recent rumours surrounding Salah’s future had emerged after his interview with Spanish publication AS in which he failed to rule out a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona – but these were recently squashed by himself after admitting that he is 100% committed to the Reds and wants to keep winning trophies on Merseyside.

However, former Premier League striker Darren Bent has come out with the suggestion that he thinks the Egyptian still wants to leave the club despite potential contract talks – saying his body language suggests he isn’t happy…

I personally couldn’t disagree more, especially given the fact that most of our squad have been evidently frustrated and haven’t exactly looked over the moon after our recent results.

This Liverpool squad are used to winning and dominating over the past few seasons and this current campaign is anything but, so clearly the whole team is up against it, not just Salah. It is true that the 28-year-old looks dejected but so does the rest of his teammates. You would be if you were drawing to West Brom and Fulham and losing to Southampton when you know you have the quality to blow these teams away.

Is Mo Salah already a Liverpool legend?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Salah is a goalscorer and right now, not him nor the rest of his teammates are scoring so that for me explains why he may come across the way he has as of late – it is a team thing, not just Salah.

Not only this, but to suggest that the winger has been on a decline over the past few seasons is ludicrous – Salah has been the top goalscorer in two of the last three seasons and is currently leading the current pack on 13 goals. So no, he is definitely not in decline.
