Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz included in Liverpool’s Dubai squad

|

Liverpool have been handed a massive fitness boost as they travel to Dubai for a warm weather training camp, with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz both travelling with the squad.

The Reds will face Olympique Lyon and AC Milan in friendlies whilst out in Dubai.

The two forwards will be returned in their quest to find fitness by midfielders Naby Keita and Arthur Melo as they both look to recover from long-term injuries.

Diaz has been out injured since Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the beginning of October, with the Colombian suffering from a knee injury.

Jota has been out for a similar time frame after suffering a severe muscle injury in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory against Manchester City a week later.

Keita is yet to kick a ball this season due to a hamstring injury, whilst a suspected ligament injury has kept Arthur out for the last three months.

All four returns will be music to the ears of Jurgen Klopp, who will be desperate to regain some depth to his squad, especially in the midfield and forward positions which his side have been left fragile in the past month.
