Borussia Dortmund are reportedly set to increase the price they are willing to sell Jude Bellingham for and create a bidding war between Europe’s top teams for his signature.

Liverpool will now be joined by Chelsea who have thrown their hat into the Bellingham saga with the Reds facing an anxious wait over who the starlet would prefer to join.

Bellingham is arguably world football’s hottest talent and is already a key figure in the Borussia Dortmund and England national teams at 19-years-old.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid are the current frontrunners to sign Bellingham and the Reds will be hoping their decision to wait it out until next summer will pay dividends.

German news outlet SportBild have claimed Dortmund will now ask for £103m or more to secure Bellingham with the German club profiting from the youngster not having a release clause in his contract.

Liverpool desperately need to bolster their midfield and Dortmund can capitalise on their dire need for a new face in the engine room.

However, the Reds will want to avoid getting into the inevitable bidding war with Chelsea and Real Madrid who both have much bigger purses to splash than the Merseyside club.

The Anfield faithful will hope that the chance to work with Jurgen Klopp will be the overriding factor for Bellingham to choose Liverpool over the other two clubs, something which has worked in the Red’s favour in previous transfer windows.
