Some Liverpool fans have made their feelings clear about midfielder Fabinho and believe he should be dropped for our Champions League Round of 16 second-leg against Atletico Madrid.
The 26-year-old has been noticeably under-fire for us in recent weeks, mainly due to the absence of captain Jordan Henderson who continues to recover from a hamstring injury. We have lost three out of our last five games in all competitions and the Englishman’s presence is sorely missed by the Kop faithful.
Having signed from AS Monaco for £39m in 2018, the £63m-rated man has been a key part of the Reds’ setup over the past two seasons and has scored just two goals and provided four assists in 71 appearances for us, as per TransferMarkt.
Should Fabinho be dropped?
With this in mind, supporters were in favour of Fabinho missing out on this game. One fan said that he should be dropped, while another suggested that he needs some time off, but added that some reactions have been exaggerated.
I would drop him for the Atletico game if Jordan is fit enough to start.

Drop him for the Atletico game and bring hendo in, use him against the weaker teams so he can get some more match fitness then
