According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool are ‘leading the race’ to sign highly-rated Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer – with plenty of Reds taking to Twitter and giving their approval over a potential move.
As per this news, Jurgen Klopp’s side are amongst bitter rivals Man United, Arsenal and Real Madrid in the race for his signature – but we may have to pay a lofty fee to secure his services for next season.
The Senegalese stalwart is valued at around €100 million (£88.7 million), a potentially high sum for a 28-year-old, but given the fact he has been compared to the likes of Paolo Maldini and Alessandro Nesta in the past, Napoli’s demanded cash exchange could seem justified.
Should Liverpool pay big money for Koulibaly?
Yes, van Dijk's ideal centre-back partner

If FSG plan on chasing all available trophies plus we’ve been lucky to have Van Dijk available, then why not. Surely he’s the kinda player to splurge on.
