Reacting to an update from reliable journalist Paul Joyce, plenty of Liverpool fans have flocked to have their say over the news that our club has delayed plans to rebuild Anfield Road stand by at least 12 months due to the impact of a current pandemic sweeping the nation.
The original plan, now pushed back, was to add 7,000 Anfield seats and increase the capacity in the ground to around 61,000 people, but taking into account certain issues, development has now been suspended by at least a year.
Is this good or bad news for Liverpool?
Reacting to the update, many Reds supporters hold a diverse range of opinions over the matter – with a few claiming that the move makes sense while others aren’t too happy and claim it’s unfortunate.
One fan even hinted that Fenway Sports Group are ‘making more excuses‘ to not spend anymore money in the current climate.
