Gerrard playing role of Liverpool agent to convince Jude Bellingham

It is no secret that Liverpool is among many top clubs interested in signing 19-year-old Jude Bellingham. The other teams include Manchester United and Real Madrid. However, whether any interested clubs can sign the young talent during the following summer transfer season remains to be seen.

Former Liverpool great and captain Steven Gerrard has openly declared his wish for the club to sign talented midfielder Bellingham. He publicly lauded Bellingham’s skills and underlined the potential benefits of joining his former club ahead of the 0-0 draw between Liverpool and Chelsea yesterday while he was a pundit on BT Sport.

Gerrard praised his versatility and work rate and believes his maturity is well ahead of his age. He stressed the significance of Liverpool’s bid for Bellingham, stating that he may be the missing piece in Liverpool’s disappointing season thus far. He also drew parallels between Bellingham and himself regarding flair and effect, stressing Bellingham’s potential as a future Liverpool star.

Gerrard went on to say, “Liverpool is in the middle of the table at the moment. But I’m sure Jude’s bright enough to go ‘hang on a minute, this is going to be a 60,000 seater stadium, they’ve got one of the best managers in the world, they’ve won the Premier League as of late, they’ve been in Champions League finals as of late. So Liverpool ticks a lot of boxes, but at the moment, they’re obviously in the middle of the league. All he needs to do is send his diary to me. I’ll fly to Dortmund. I’ll take him out for a nice dinner, and we’ll talk about it.”
