According to a report from Turkish media outlet NTV, Liverpool keeper Loris Karius has terminated his loan deal with Besiktas and will now return to Anfield – prompting many Reds to insist that we sell the German shot-stopper.
Karius, who has played 25 games for the Super Lig outfit this season, keeping just eight clean sheets in that time according to Transfermarkt, opted to terminate his contract with the club having fell out over wage payments.
Should Liverpool sell Karius in the summer?
The 26-year-old, who managed a total of 49 appearances for the Reds in all competitions before going out on loan, made two Champions League final blunders which arguably cost us our would-be first European Cup triumph since 2005.
Even though we eventually went on to win the competition just one season later, beating Spurs 2-0 in Madrid, swathes of supporters still don’t want to see Karius don the Reds jersey ever again.
Former Besiktas boss Senol Gunes even once described the player as ‘stagnant‘.
Here’s what fans had to say on Twitter.
Go Edwards! Do your magic and sell him for a really good price!

Yeah, i think there’s more chance of us playing with no keeper than Karius getting a game for us ever again.

Let him terminate the ine with us too.

Nothing to discuss. Klopp believes in 2nd chances but in this case, Karius definitely isn’t getting one.

Never had any confidence in him even when he was on a good(ish) run before Kiev; always preferred Mignolet to him
