Following Liverpool’s entertaining 5-3 win at home to Chelsea on Wednesday evening, a match which was followed by our joyous Premier League title celebrations, many Reds supporters still weren’t too happy with manager Jurgen Klopp’s decision not to play Adam Lallana in what would have been his final game at Anfield.

Goals from Naby Keita, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum, Roberto Firmino and Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain secured a thoroughly thrilling win on Merseyside despite Chelsea finding the net three times themselves courtesy of Olivier Giroud, Tammy Abraham and Christian Pulisic.

Should Klopp have played Lallana?

Yes, why didn't he?

Yes, why didn't he?

No, we have Newcastle away next

Given the occasion, and the fact Liverpool have already been crowned league champions for the first time in 30 years, many Reds think Klopp should’ve played Lallana over the 90 minutes considering his contract runs out at the end of this month – putting an end to his six-year stay.

Signing for £25 million back in 2014, the Englishman has gone on to make 178 appearances for the club, scoring 22 goals and assisting 22 others as per Transfermarkt, with supporters giving him a special mention during Wednesday’s festivities.
