Some Liverpool fans were shocked by the club’s plans with goalkeeper Adrian as reports suggested that Jurgen Klopp has made a decision about his future.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds will be active in the next transfer window, but that we plan to keep hold Adrian for the next campaign.

The 33-year-old signed a two-year contract with us back in the summer after he was brought in following the departure of Simon Mignolet to Club Brugge.

Following the injury to Alisson during the first game of this season against Norwich City, Adrian unexpectedly stepped into the limelight and impressed the Kop faithful after a string of stunning showings.

Is Adrian overrated?

However, his mistakes against Chelsea and Atletico Madrid meant that we were knocked out of both the FA Cup and the Champions League before the postponement of football due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. This frustrated us, due to the fact we have a unique problem with goalkeepers, as we have with Jerzy Dudek and Loris Karius over the years.

Because of this, supporters could not believe the club’s stance and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said if the news was true, then it was “short-sighted and crazy” from Liverpool.
