Tonight, Liverpool will be looking to take a huge step towards qualifying for the next stage of the competition when they face Paris Saint-Germain, in Paris.

Liverpool are in a group whereby any of the four teams are still quite capable of finishing in the top two places to ensure qualification.

But, aside from the result tonight, lurking in the French media vehicle, lequippe, is the inference that our hosts, Paris Saint-Germain, will use this opportunity to discuss a move for one of our current squad.

The player on the Paris Saint-Germain is our Brazilian defender, Fabinho.

It’s probably fair to say that Fabinho’s career, at Anfield, hasn’t lived up to expectations and if a fair price can be negotiated it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if a deal was struck between the two clubs.

Now whether that deal will take place once the January transfer window opens or will have to wait until the summer, remains to be seen.

Here at Vital Liverpool, we’ll keep a watchful eye out for any further rumblings on the subject matter.
