After Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Arsenal at the weekend, the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp was seen having a lengthy chat with Arsenal’s current Norwegian midfielder Martin Ødegaard, who is on loan from parent club Real Madrid.

The German was quick to go over to the 22-year-old after the final whistle and it looked to be an interesting conversation, with the pair laughing together. This instantly fueled the transfer rumours after the game with Liverpool having been interested in signing Ødegaard back in 2016…

However, it appears as though there may be some justified reasoning as to the conversation and why chins started wagging on social media, as according to Spanish publication AS, the Reds are reportedly interested again in Ødegaard and if fellow Premier League club fails to striker a permanent deal for the Norwegian in the summer, the Reds will be there ready and waiting.

Ødegaard has settled in well at Arsenal over the last few months and we have seen him start to flourish in the Premier League and Europa League, with him even managing a goal here and there for his efforts.

Will Klopp improve the Liverpool squad this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

The 22-year-old is a fine talent and if he is unable to secure further playing time at Real we could easily see him make a move in the summer and hopefully it could be to Anfield, as I feel the club has been crying out for a creative No.10 for some time now and it appears to me that Ødegaard could be the perfect fit.

What do you think Liverpool fans, would Ødegaard be a good signing? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below…
