Liverpool have finalised a deal worth up to £6.5 million for Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay, with the Scot expected to make the move to Anfield by the end of the week.
Ramsay had a breakout season in the Scottish Premier League, enjoying a successful campaign with Aberdeen cementing himself as a first XI starter.
The youngster appeared 33 times for the Scottish club, scoring once and assisting nine goals and has attracted attention from some of England’s biggest clubs.
Paul Joyce of The Times was the first to report the news on his Twitter account, claiming the Reds will pay an initial £4 million to Aberdeen, with £2.5 million in add ons further down the line.

Joyce also suggested this will be Liverpool’s last deal in the summer transfer window and they will wait until next summer to reinforce their midfield; an area of concern heading into this window.
Liverpool have already signed Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez from Benfica for a club-record fee of £85 million; Ramsay will be the club’s third summer signing.
The arrival of Ramsay will likely see the end of current backup right-back Neco William’s time at the club, the Welshman enjoyed a successful loan spell at Fulham during the second half of last season.
