Fabrizio Romano drops Saka future hint as Liverpool closely monitor forwards contract negotiations

|

Arsenal will do everything in their power to tie down Bukayo Saka to a new deal, however, they will face a challenge to keep the Premier League’s two top teams away from him.

Liverpool and Manchester City are said to be closely monitoring the Arsenal youngster’s contract negotiations and are ready to pounce should there be any hiccups, according to The Times.

The report also suggests that Arsenal are confident of securing the England international’s services for the peak years of his career by giving him a bumper long-term contract.

Moreover, top transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano dropped a huge hint on the starlet’s future on his Twitter page.

The London club wants to make Saka one of their top earners and are willing to give the 20-year-old winger a deal that would fight off any interest in him.

This may be a tough challenge for Liverpool to pull off, but stranger things have happened in the transfer window.

Any deal Jurgen Klopp’s side could pull off for Saka would likely come down to Arsenal missing out on Champions League football this season; something which looks unlikely to happen.

Saka was Arsenal’s top scorer last season with 11 goals but has yet to get off the mark this season, failing to capitalise in four Premier League outings.
