Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson has named his 24-man squad to face Brazil next week and it contains three Liverpool players…

Wednesday’s prestigious friendly against Brazil at Wembley will provide England with a tough warm-up ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifiers in San Marino and Montenegro.

Captain Steven Gerrard heads the Liverpool contingent selected with Glen Johnson and new signing Daniel Sturridge also named.

Reds winger Raheem Sterling, who made his full debut in the recent friendly against Sweden, drops down to Stuart Pearce’s U21 side where he is joined by four clubmates.

Andre Wisdom, Jack Robinson, Jordan Henderson and Jonjo Shelvey are the other Liverpool men in the squad to face Sweden on Tuesday night.

Defenders: Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Glen Johnson, Joleon Lescott, Chris Smalling, Kyle Walker.
