Liverpool FA Cup Trip

Liverpool are too tough and too well organised to do anything but win this game. No cup game is won ‘by right’ but I’m confident we will be in the draw for the next round at the expense of Arrys boys.

Vital Quotes:

Chief exec Rick Parry has savaged the FA for the kick off time, with the game being moved to 6pm for tv broadcast.

He told LiverpoolFC magazine: ‘Once again, our fans find themselves with a difficult journey at an awkward time following the decision to play at 6pm on a Sunday evening. To put it bluntly, the FA makes the decisions with no input from the clubs. When you sign up to take part in the competition, it’s on the understanding that games may be moved to accommodate television commitments. It’s just unfortunate that our supporters have been hit twice running. The same thing happened for the Luton game when Sky decided it should be played at 5.30 on a Saturday night.

Rafael Benitez has said that Daniel Agger might play against Portsmouth in the FA Cup fourth round clash.

‘It’s a possibility Daniel could play at Portsmouth but I haven’t decided yet. He is training really well and I’m very happy with him. We have a lot of games coming up when we play twice a week so Daniel will have possibilities.’

Portsmouth Team News:

Dejan Stefanovic is in contention but may face a late fitness test on his ankle. Noe Pamarot is out and Dean Kiely could make his debut for Pompey.

Just for a laugh really. Has one good game in a hundred, spends most of his time moaning at his own team mates or falling over!

Liverpool Team News:

Jose Reina is expected to return in place of Scott Carson. Zendon is out long term and Luis Garcia isn’t expected to have recovered from his knee problem.
