Liverpool will no doubt look to strengthen their squad in the upcoming summer transfer window with them likely to sign at least one new attacker to join the club.

There has been an abundance of rumours and links between Liverpool and the current crop of footballing talent across Europe but none have quite caught the attention of that of the rumours surrounding the Reds and 20-year-old starlet Erling Haaland, who is likely to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season after interest from all over the continent.

One of the resounding issues with a possible transfer for Haaland is the fee it would cost to secure his services, with him available this summer for £154million according to his agent Mino Raiola via The Express.

Could Haaland become a Red in the future?

No

However, a recent revelation over Haaland’s demands for next season has led to an even more interesting battle for not just his signature, but of fellow countryman Martin Ødegaard too.

According to reports, Haaland wants to play with Ødegaard next season domestically, not just for Norway. This likely means that any club that wishes to sign Haaland will need to bring Ødegaard to their club too – which could cost a pretty penny if the rumours are true.

To add even more fuel to the fire between Liverpool and Haaland, the Reds have had previous interest in Ødegaard, and manager Jurgen Klopp was seen having a longer than usual conversation with him after Liverpool’s 3-0 win over the London club on Saturday – eluding to the possibility of the Reds making a double swoop for the Norwegian pair in the summer, something that I am fully behind.

As you can see, the pair looked to have an interesting conversation, which has all but caused plenty of chat in regards to Haaland and Ødegaard’s future this summer.

What do you think Liverpool fans, would you take the pair at Anfield? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below…
