Liverpool’s unbeaten start, to the Premier League season, has given us all hope that this could be our season, this could be the season in which we finally land the Premier League title.
However, we accept that there is still a long way to go and that a lot can still happen.
But, there’s no denying that Jurgen Klopp, since taking over the managerial hot-seat, has rejuvenated the club, assembling a talented squad that is the envy of many and moulding them into a side that plays attractive football that pleases the Anfield support.
But, it would seem that the German isn’t one to rest on his laurels and is already plotting to add to the squad.
One possible recruit, being mentioned in dispatches, is the Borussia Dortmund winger, Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic, 20-years-of-age and a USA international, has been attracting the attention of both Liverpool and Chelsea, with the player keen to sample life in the most competitive domestic league in the world.
But, it appears that whilst other clubs might be showing an interest in the player, it is a move to Liverpool that appeals to him, with the local media source, the Liverpool Echo, carrying quotes attributed to the youngster which shower nothing but praise on someone who he had a fleeting glimpse of when he first arrived at Borussia Dortmund and Jurgen was in charge:
“He was there when I first moved to the club.
“I personally didn’t get to know him too well but I’ve heard stories from some of my team-mates who did and they loved playing for him.”
Could those few words be the difference between deciding on a career at Anfield as opposed to elsewhere?
I reckon they could very well do!
