Which players are struggling to be fit for Liverpool vs. Burnley?…
Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino is a big doubt for the hosts after missing training this week with an unspecified injury picked up in the 3-1 win over Arsenal last Saturday.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp revealed: “Roberto felt something after the game. He couildn’t train so we’ll have to wait and see.”
Captain Jordan Henderson (foot) and striker Daniel Sturridge (hip) remain unavailable for selection, as do Ovie Ejaria (ruptured syndesmosis), Danny Ings and back-up goalkeeper Adam Bogdan (both knee).
Selection wise, Klopp must decide whether or not to restore regular first-choice defender Dejan Lovren to his starting line-up after the Croatian was deemed fit enough for the bench last time out. Ragnar Klavan will make way if so.
Visitors Burnley are without midfielders Steven Defour (hamstring) and Dean Marney (knee) but can call upon first-choice custodian Tom Heaton again after illness forced his late withdrawal against Swansea City last weekend.
The absence of attacker Johann Berg Gudmundsson (knee) is offset by the return of Ashley Barnes from a one-match ban.
With Joey Barton’s hearing over football betting charges postponed, neither side has any players ruled out through suspension.
On-loan full-back Jon Flanagan is unavailable against his parent club.
