If there is one criticism that could be leveled at the current squad, it might be that we lack an out-and-out winger.

However, that situation could be about to change.

Transfer window speculation, courtesy of the Daily Mail, infers that Liverpool are among a trio of Premier League clubs looking to sign an exciting Dutch winger.

The player in question is Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld.

At 21-years-of-age, the player, currently on the books of the Belgian side, Club Brugge, has a lot to offer and, as well as Liverpool, is also interesting our near-neighbours Everton and ambitious Tottenham Hotspur.

Now whether the Anfield hierarchy are able to convince the player and his club that Anfield is the correct destination remains to be seen.

But with a dynamic strike force already causing havoc in the Premier League, the addition of a natural wide man would give Jurgen Klopp another option on a day when it is, possibly, not quite going right.

Here at Vital Liverpool, we’ll keep an eye out for any further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
