Liverpool linked with a move for Ajax forward

|

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Ajax forward, Mohammed Kudus, according to Sports World Ghana.

After Jurgen Klopp’s side has got off to a tricky start with the Reds sitting 15 points behind Arsenal at the top of the table, they could be looking to add more talent to their forward line.

Ajax star, Mohammed Kudus, has been phenomenal so far this season scoring ten goals in 22 appearances as well as setting up two goals for his teammates.

Kudus is currently at the Qatar World Cup after being included in Ghana’s squad for the tournament, as their campaign starts tomorrow as they face Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.

The striker also scored at Anfield against Liverpool in the Champions League this season with a world-class finish, in the Reds’ 2-1 victory over Ajax.

Jurgen Klopp does have a tendency to go after players who have impressed him against his own Liverpool side, signing the likes of Darwin Nunez, Sadio Mane, Alisson, Virgil Van Dijk, Takumi Minamino, Gini Wijnaldum- just to name a few.

As much as Kudus is undoubtedly a quality player, again I can’t help but think that Liverpool needs to be focusing on improving their ageing and injury-prone midfield rather than focusing on attacking options which Klopp already had plenty at his disposal.
