Tonight, there is the possibility that there could be another dramatic twist in the race for the 2018 / 2019 Premier League title.
After two performances that were not quite up to the expected levels, against Leicester City (h) and West Ham United (a), Liverpool have seen their lead, at the top of the table, reduced to just three points.
Tonight, our nearest rivals for the aforementioned Premier League crown, Manchester City, are in our neck of the woods.
Pep Guardiola’s team have the chance to go top of the Premier League table tonight if they can beat our neighbours Everton.
A victory will see Manchester City go top on goal difference but having played a game more than us.
But, whilst Liverpool would, we feel, still, have the edge in the title race, that edge could be heightened if our neighbours, Everton, could do us a huge favour.
Although Everton are not in the best of form, having lost three of their last four games, we’re hoping that the Goodison Park crowd can lift their side and push Manchester City all the way.
Now, whilst hoping that Everton can beat Manchester City, we’d quite happily accept a draw which, if that were to be the case, would see Liverpool remain two points clear and with a game in hand.
It’s not too much to ask for, is it?
