It’s probably fair to say that Liverpool have an attacking trio, Mane, Salah and Firmino that is up there with the best in the world.

In fact, I’d go as far as to say that they are the envy the rest of the Premier League with each of the trio being quite capable of turning a game on its head in an instant.

However, for a club to progress and not to be left behind, it is essential that other options are available.

Currently, at Anfield, we are also, amongst others, able to call upon Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke, if required.

But, despite the plethora of talent, it seems, according to the news source, the metro, picking up on something in the German media, Liverpool are showing interest in bringing a young striker, to Anfield, who could turn out to be the next striking sensation.

According to our referenced source, Liverpool are set to go head-to-head with the Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, for the services of Timo Werner.

Werner, just 22-years-of-age, is currently on the books of RB Leipzig and we’re of the opinion that to bring him to Anfield would be a real coup. It would also give added depth to our squad whilst also providing competition for the aforementioned trio of Mane, Salah and Firmino.

Here at Vital Liverpool, we’ll keep an eye out for further developments and report back as deemed appropriate.
