Haven’t written for a while so will be covering a lot of topics…

On Sunday we welcomed (well not really) the mancs to Anfield.

So many things to discuss from the game:

Suarez – Outstanding, it has been a while since we had a player that could run at defenders in the way he does. He tortured their defence all day long. He is going to be a serious player when he settles in a bit more.

Kuyt – Worst hat-trick you will ever see. Care? Not a jot. Deserves it for his constant, tireless work for the team.

Lucas – Previously much maligned but he bossed their midfield and can add them to the Chelsea midfield (x2) in his pocket this year. Improving constantly.

Johnson – New lease of life under Kenny. Faultless on the left or right recently.

Kenny – Give him a deal now. Practically the same squad was languishing in the bottom half of the table with negative goal difference under Hodgson. Ps Happy Birthday chant was hilarious, rubbed it into the mancs about how easy it was.

Fans – Relentless in their mockery. ‘You’re Man Utd, you’ll do as your told’ was a particular highlight (In response to the ‘We’re Man Utd, we’ll do what we want’. Expect to hear it from Chelsea shortly, they are stealing everything else.

Carragher – Silly boy. Funny though.

Chelsea:

Watched their game against Blackpool the other night, first time I had seen Torres play for them apart from our recent game. One aspect stood out. Their fans. Now if it wasn’t embarrassing enough for them to take our ‘El Nino’ poster, complete with Shankly gates, and transpose it onto a blue flag (Shankly gates still included) – they have only gone and taken the chant also. Not only the chant but the ‘bounce’ and the ‘we’re gonna bounce in a minute’ chant. Hahhahahah. How completely original, how pioneering, how sad. How Chelsea. Thanks for the £50m lads. Bellends.

Arsenal:

Barca were the better side, are the better side (in fact are probably the best side I have ever seen) but you have to feel for the gunners. Van Persie’s 2nd yellow was the worst in a long line of bad refereeing decisions recently. If that had been Van Persie taking that through ball rather than Bentdner, we could have been looking at a different result today.

Manchester United:

Anyone who ever watches a Utd game will know about their fans’ hatred for anything scouse. It is endemic within their club and totally consumes them. Forgetting for a minute that they worship a scouser in Rooney, there is also something else quite interesting.

Frederick Attock was the fella who started a club called Newton Heath over a hundred years ago. Newton Heath is, as you may know, Manchester United. Guess where old Freddy came from?

Their founder is Scouse.

It’s been a good week.
