Liverpool midfielder signs new five year contract

|

Liverpool midfielder, Stefan Bajcetic, has signed a new long term contract at the club, which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2027.

The announcement was confirmed on the Club’s official twitter.

The 18-year-old has become one of the world’s best young players, currently keeping Fabinho out of Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup at the moment.

The star has had a breakthrough season with the Reds, making ten appearances including seven in the Champions League or Premier League.

His fantastic solo goal against Aston Villa on Boxing Day, which won Liverpool’s Goal of the Month award, is surely the highlight of his senior career so far.

Speaking on the new contract, Bajcetic said: “It feels amazing. It’s something I’ve been dreaming of in these two years I’ve been here and something that I’ve been working hard for as well.”

Bajcetic is expected to continue in Klopp’s starting lineup in Liverpool’s FA Cup Fourth Round tie against Brighton on Sunday, after starting in the Reds’ last two games against Wolves and Chelsea.

There is no doubt that the Spaniard has the potential to become a legend at Anfield and play a crucial role for Klopp for many years to come.
