There was no manic sprint across the pitch today from Jurgen Klopp.

Perhaps the error in judgement, albeit a passionate one, was a one-off after the boss got hit with a large fine.

However, the fine win against Bournemouth, unlike the last-gasp win against Everton last weekend, was never in doubt once Mo Salah had scored the second goal of his hat-trick.

After the game, as reported by the BBC, Jurgen was a happy man, first reflecting on getting a win against a side as difficult to play against as Bournemouth, remarking:

“It is clear that everyone knows about the quality of Bournemouth. We had to keep the ball and win the ball back as quickly as possible. We did both very often but not always as they had their moments too, of course.”

They did, but perhaps Liverpool had a lucky break when Salah opened the scoring with a goal that had a touch of offside about it, adding:

“I don’t know if it was offside, I’ve not watched it back.”

However, Jurgen was appreciative of the fact that the goal allowed Liverpool to control the game, further adding:

“We improved in the second half and controlled the game. It was really nice. Mo Salah scores that goal and I don’t think many do in that situation.

“The third goal was again brilliant. It is really cool and it helps of course! We played nice football and the players we brought on did really well.”

Yes, they did, it was an exceptional performance and sets us up perfectly for the must-win game against Napoli in midweek.
