This lunchtime sees Liverpool return to Premier League action with a trip to Leicester City, with the Reds coming off the back of a tough defeat to Manchester City last Sunday and wanting to keep up with the race for the top-four.

Liverpool will be without Brazilian midfielder/makeshift centre-back Fabinho after suffering a muscle issue yesterday which means we will likely see a debut for either of the new boys in Ben Davies or Ozan Kabak.

Aside from Fabinho, the Reds find themselves with the usual pick of choice from the past few weeks with no return dates still set for any of the other injured personnel prior to this week, so how might the Reds lineup for the crunch game against the Foxes today?

Formation: 4-3-3

Despite his blunder against Manchester City on Sunday, Brazilian shot-stopper Alisson will keep his place in goal. The goalkeeper has saved our lives on more than one occasion in the past and he will no doubt have put his performance against City behind him now.

Our defence will see Jordan Henderson likely keep his place alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson in the fullback positions – with new boy Ozan Kabak set to make his debut. The Turkish international has a great opportunity to prove himself to Jurgen Klopp and with just six-months to do so, I can imagine Klopp will pick him over Davies to try and show that, as well as the fact he comes with a lot more pedigree.

In midfield, we shall see Gini Wijnaldum remain in that No.6 role with Thiago and youngster Curtis Jones push up either side of him. This midfield three did well against City last week even with the manner of our defeat and it was a shame to see Jones subbed off during the second half.

As usual, our front-three will remain the same too with them easily our strongest options in attack. Mo Salah has still been in fine form for the club this season even with the club’s overall performances being poor in places, with the Egyptian still the top-scorer in the Premier League.
