According to a piece of news from le10sport, Liverpool may have suffered a blow in their alleged patient bid to sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho – with European rivals Real Madrid now setting their sights on the Englishman.

Indeed, as per le10sport, Zinedine Zidane is looking to prioritise bringing in the stars of tomorrow – with Kai Havetz, Eduardo Camavinga and now Sancho all firmly in his viewing.

Sancho, who has scored a highly impressive 20 goals in all competitions this season from the wing, is currently at the centre of interest from a host of top clubs – including Liverpool who have recently been linked.

Could Liverpool sign Sancho in future?

Even though Michael Edwards has been touted to chase his signature, due to recent events affecting our transfer finances, a swoop for the €140 million (£124.7 million) youngster appears unlikely at this present moment.

However, if Liverpool were to chase up a deal for his signature, they would have to fend off fierce competition from Real as they look to potentially bring in Sancho.

The 20-year-old is a highly sought-after attacking prospect given his head-turning form this season, scoring 17 goals and assisting 16 others in just 23 Bundesliga starts according to WhoScored.

Impressive figures, Sancho has also managed an 85.2% pass accuracy whilst completing more dribbles than any Liverpool player this season – even stars such as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

Commanding a hefty fee, it’s little wonder why Dortmund want to profit off his name as much as possible, but given the current climate, Real could be ahead of Liverpool in the race.
