A number of missed chances contributed to a 2-1 loss and following defeat to Inter Milan in their previous game, victory later this week against Rosenborg now looks crucial (Friday 9th November). Liverpool X1: Belford, McLaughlin, Smith, Sama, Jones, Coady, Ibe (Peterson 75), Pelosi, Morgan, Adorjan, Gainford (Sinclair 60).

Summer signing Oussama Assaidi may not have had many opportunities to impress so far but after performing well against Anzhi Makhachkala in the Europa League recently, he hopes more opportunities are just around the corner. “Every day I am learning about how to be better,” he told the official club website. “I want to be better. I go to the gym to make myself stronger. My quality is to take on defenders, get a cross in, cut inside and shoot. I like to create action and to make a cross. That’s how I play – I take defenders on. I hope the fans see more from me.”
Rising Spanish star Suso, who recently signed a new long-term contract at the club, has spoken about how he would forgo personal success if it helped the Reds to win. The 19-year-old told Liverpoolfc.com: “I haven’t scored yet, but I would sign a contract now that said we would win every game but I wouldn’t score. I don’t care if I do score or not. If I do it is better, but what I care more about is us winning games.”
It is now just over a year since Liverpool Football Club took the step to select 18 individuals and form the first LFC Supporters’ Committee. A lot of progress has been made in that time and a number of key decisions have been made with the committee’s direct input. These have included a ticket price freeze for season 2012-13 and improvements to the Auto Cup Scheme. Click here to find out more about the committee and read their annual report.
A busy close season for Liverpool Ladies has continued with the signing of England international Gemma Bonner. The 21-year-old received her first senior international call-up in March having previously played for England at U17, U19, U20 and U23 level. The Leeds born youngster will know manager Matt Beard well after spending the past two years playing for his former side Chelsea.
