Whilst it’s unlikely Brighton will entertain the idea of letting Moises Caicedo go this summer, it seems Liverpool will battle several Premier League clubs for his signature next year.
According to 90 min, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona are the frontrunners to sign the young Ecuadorian.
The report also highlights how United missed out on signing Caicedo for as little as €5 million from Independiente del Valle two seasons ago.
The 20-year-old’s price tag will certainly be inflated compared to that fee now; as is all promising youngsters who perform consistently in the Premier League.
Brighton’s Premier League record since Moises Caicedo first came into the starting XI:
9 games
6 wins
2 draws
1 loss – Man City (A)
18 goals scored
9 goals concededHe’s started every single game since his debut. 20 years old & an absolute game changer. #BHAFC 🔵🇪🇨 pic.twitter.com/WsFM8uC5IB

Caicedo’s versatility makes him an extremely interesting prospect for Liverpool, the midfielder can play equally well in a more attacking position as well as defensive midfield.
It would be wise to make an attempt to sign the 20-year-old this summer, especially whilst Liverpool’s midfield injury list continues to grow.
However, with a full Premier League season under his belt, his price will only rise, to likely astronomical figures, that will see the Reds almost definitely be priced out.
It will be interesting to see how Caicedo’s season will play out, if we are going off his current stats for Graham Potter’s starting XI, he would make a fantastic addition to any Premier League midfield.
