Liverpool are set to reward Stefan Bajcetic following the huge progress he has made for Jurgen Klopp’s first-team so far this season.

This is according to The Times, who claim that Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of the Spaniard and sees him playing a huge part of his midfield trio in years to come.

The 18-year-old has had a breakthrough season for Jurgen Klopp’s side, making ten appearances so far this season with seven of those coming in the Premier League or the Champions League.

The holding midfielder has started alongside Thiago Alcantara and Naby Keita in Liverpool’s last two games against Wolves and Chelsea, and is expected to keep his place ahead of Fabinho when the Reds face Brighton in the FA Cup Fourth Round on Sunday.

Bajcetic also won Liverpool’s goal of the month for December, for his silky goal against Aston Villa in the 3-1 victory at Villa Park on Boxing Day.

His current contract is currently set to expire in June 2025, but the Reds are pushing to tie him down to a long-term contract in a deal that reflects his role at the club more fairly.

If the youngster keeps up this rate of progression, Liverpool could have a serious player on their hands both for the present and the future and he certainly has the potential to become a legend at Anfield.
