Torres Focused On Title Push
Liverpool’s match winner against Sunderland on Saturday Fernando Torres has set his sights on winning the title. The Spaniard knows just how important winning the title is to the Reds and he is up for the challenge, as he explained to Liverpoolfc.tv:
‘Our focus is on The Premier League and we know how important it is to win The Premier League for the fans.
‘It has been too many years and we are focusing on that. It was important to start with a win after the not so very good game in the Champions League.’
One match doesn’t mean that we will challenge for the title, but it was a good start and a win against the type of opposition that we have so often slipped up against in the past. If Torres can keep scoring and his partnership with Robbie Keane can develop then we have a chance.
