As we approach the halfway point in the season, the nineteenth game, things are looking good for Liverpool.

The most recent round of games sees Jurgen Klopp’s side sitting four-points clear, at the top of the table, with Manchester City in second place.

Today, Boxing Day, Liverpool welcome Newcastle United to Anfield for a Premier League fixture.

The game will see somebody we’re particularly fond of, Rafael Benitez, make an emotional return to a place he graced in a previous managerial role.

Benitez’s Newcastle side have struggled this season and it is Liverpool who are expected to win this fixture.

Elsewhere, the Liverpool support will be hoping that Leicester, having beaten Chelsea in their previous fixture, can beat another of our rivals for the title, when they entertain Manchester City, at the King Power Stadium.
