After it was reported last week that Liverpool’s star forward Mo Salah had tested positive whilst on international duty for Egypt – it was thought that the player could not make his return to the club until returning a positive test.
Today, however, it has again been reported that Salah will fly home today via a preprepared private jet alongside fellow Egypt and Arsenal player Mohamed Elneny – as stated in the latest tweet from Sky Sports on Twitter…
Liverpool’s Mo Salah and Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny will fly back to the UK on a private jet from Egypt on Friday after returning further positive tests for coronavirus.

There was hope at one point that the £108m rated Egyptian could return in time for Sunday’s clash against Leicester given he returned a negative result yesterday but after testing positive again, he will no doubt be sidelined for the initial 3 games in the Premier League and Champions League.
However, the news that he will return to the city today is a positive aspect of the story at least – and despite still being absent, there is no better place for him to recover and get himself ready for his return than that of the club he plays for.
Salah’s absence could have a big impact on the team for the next few games, especially given the opportunity now left open for some of the fringe players in the squad to make an impression during his time out.
I think the opportunities now presented to players such as Xherdan Shaqiri, Divock Origi, and Takumi Minamino should be grasped with both hands – and with the importance of these games so high, they should make sure they bring their best form for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
