According to a report from Turkish outlet Yenir Asir, Liverpool are ‘considering’ bringing Beskitas defender Domagoj Vida to Anfield as a rotation option for Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk, but these Reds supporters aren’t exactly keen on swooping for the centre-back.

Vida, who has averaged an impressive 90.3% pass accuracy over 25 Super Lig starts for Besiktas this campaign, making 2.5 clearances per game in that time, is now being touted with a move to Merseyside as a potential back-up option to our main centre-back pairing.

The Croatia international, who impressed during the 2018 World Cup alongside current Reds defender Dejan Lovren, could be seen as an ‘experienced‘ centre-back who can provide strength in depth – with manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly admiring the 31-year-old’s displays in Russia.
