A short time ago Liverpool confirmed that Divock Origi had now completed a season long loan move out to Wolfsburg.

The Belgium international will spend the remainder of the 2017/18 campaign out with the Bundesliga outfit after a temporary switch was agreed between both clubs earlier this afternoon.

The 22 year old joined Liverpool from Lille back in 2014 before spending a further year for development purposes with the French club, and in 77 appearances for us so far, he has returned 21 goals.

With competition upfront good, the additional game time should only be of benefit to him.

Following the announcement of the signing of Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the 24 year old has now opted to wear the No 21 shirt for the coming campaign.

That of course was Lucas Leiva’s number prior to his departure to Lazio.
