Writing in an article for the Athletic, reliable Liverpool correspondent James Pearce has outlined Liverpool’s financial difficulties surrounding the current global pandemic and how it may impact the club’s transfer policy.
Should the Reds play it safe this summer window?
Yes, so unpredictable with the pandemic
No, take to the market and strengthen
As well as matchday earnings, Liverpool look set to take a hit in terms of media revenue, commercial sales and the lack of lucrative friendlies – potentially making any transfer activity difficult from a financial standpoint as per the Athletic.
However, despite the information detailed by Pearce, many Reds supporters seem to be growing frustrated with Fenway Sports Group’s running of the club in terms of transfer activity – with one fan labelling their stance as ‘pathetic‘.
Another supporter claimed there is ‘no excuse‘ for not signing Werner – find all of their best comments down below.

UCL prize money, TV rights, Kit sales, Matchday Revenue for the last 2 years. Not spending over 10 million in 3 transfer windows. Premier League prize money.

We literally are sell to buy FC, we can’t stay at the top if we don’t bring in new players

We hardly spent last summer. Surely we aren’t having to sell to buy again?

@JamesPearceLFC LFC hasn’t sign anyone that broke the bank in the last 3 windows so how ave they got no money to spend? Realistically if they dont sign a couple players this window they b goin backwards.. we been lucky with the front 3 not been out for a long period.
