Liverpool’s assistant Pep Lijnders is releasing a tell-all book on Liverpool’s quadruple chasing campaign that saw the Reds challenge on all fronts last season.

The book is called ‘Intensity, Inside Liverpool’. It covers the 2021/2022 season which saw Liverpool win two trophies, the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, whilst also losing out on the Premier League title and UEFA Champions League.

Lijnders is regarded as one of the best coaches in the modern game and is rumoured to replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool’s head boss when the German coach leaves the club.

Liverpool enjoyed an unparalleled season last year, playing every game possible, a first for any English team and Lijnders book covers the journey from start to finish.

On the front cover, Jurgen Klopp dons the forewords, “We do things our own way. People who read this will feel an even greater connection to our team”.

Lijnders revealed he was already committed to the project before the season started, and the remarkable run that happened whilst covering the campaign was solely by luck.

“We were all in. I obviously had no idea how the season would turn out, but whatever happened, I’d committed to this project. As we say, what we do we do 100 percent at Liverpool FC.”

The book will go on general sale on August 4th and promises to be a tantalising inside look into how the club operates under Jurgen Klopp and Lijnders at the helm.
