Player Ratings: Wolves 3-0 Liverpool

|

Liverpool fans have been left raging after the Reds were thrashed 3-0 by Wolves in the Premier League earlier today, leaving them sat 10th in the table.

Here is how we think each player performed in yet another abysmal performance:

Alisson Becker- 5/10

Nine goals conceded in Liverpool’s last three away games in the Premier League against Brentford, Brighton and now Wolves.

The defence in front of him was abysmal and although he made some good saves, had a few tricky moments himself.

Trent Alexander-Arnold- 5/10

I actually don’t think Trent was that bad today and actually played pretty well in the second half.

Most of the problems really came down Liverpool’s left-hand side which contributed to it being a bang average performance from the full-back.

Joel Matip- 2/10

Time is starting to run out for the 31-year-old.

After the best season of his career last year, he hasn’t hit anywhere near the same levels this time around and it wouldn’t surprise me if he is sold in the summer with just a year left on his contract.

Joe Gomez- 2/10

Just as awful as Matip, often looking completely lost and not knowing what day it was.

Both defenders should count themselves extremely lucky that both Virgil Van Dijk and Ibou Konate aren’t fit at the minute.

Andy Robertson- 4/10

A really poor performance from today’s captain, often getting caught out of position defensively and offering very little going forward.

Stefan Bajcetic- 6.5/10

The 18-year-old was Liverpool’s best player today, quite comfortably.

Composed on the ball and covered more ground than most, but did give the ball away in the build up to Neves’ goal to put the game to bed.

Thiago Alcantara- 4/10

One of the worst performances I’ve seen the Spaniard have since his move to Liverpool two years ago.

His passing was extremely sloppy throughout the game and his failure to track the run of Neves for the third goal is terrible to watch.

Naby Keita- 5/10

Keita was one of the only players who looked bright going forward, but couldn’t quite put the finishing touch on any of the moves he was involved in.

The decision to replace him with Jordan Henderson was an awful one, which only made the team’s performance levels drop further.

Mohamed Salah- 4/10

Another extremely poor performance by Salah, where he seemingly couldn’t get involved in the game whatsoever.

His finishing was poor once again, missing numerous chances that could’ve got the side back in the game.

Darwin Nunez- 4/10

Extremely similar to Salah, good runs to create space and chances but couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net.

Cody Gakpo- 4/10

The Dutchman couldn’t get into the game and kept naturally coming central- where he has played in the past few weeks.

All three attackers were targetting the central areas, leaving limited creativity out wide and limited space in the middle.
