Before the January transfer window opened, it seemed almost a done deal that our young striker, Dominic Solanke, would be joining Crystal Palace on loan.

Our article, Click Here, pointed out that it was a move that would benefit all concerned with Solanke getting some regular first-team action, something he hasn’t gotten this season at Anfield, whilst Crystal Palace would get a striker who is quite capable of scoring on a regular basis.

However, it seems that the wheels of motion didn’t get to turn full circle with the BBC, reporting that the deal has now been called off.

Apparently, the South London club were of the opinion that Solanke wasn’t in a position to, instantly, give them what they required.

Crystal Palace were concerned about the lack of first-team football Solanke has played recently and also by the fact that the young striker has been troubled by a niggling injury lately.

It remains to be seen, now this deal is dead in the water, whether Liverpool will entertain Solanke going elsewhere.
