The Reds’ U-23 side claimed a 2-1 win against Wolves last night in Premier League 2, with Jake Cain hitting a 90th-minute winner to ensure Liverpool collected all three points on the day and climb back into fifth place in the division.

It was a dramatic conclusion to an entertaining contest at St George’s Park, and some Liverpool supporters took to social media to praise the U-23 team for their frantic games as well as for winning the game in the end despite a resilient performance from bottom-placed Wolves.
