Speaking to Goal, Nigerian footballing ‘legend’ Abdul Sule has claimed that Liverpool sensation Sadio Mane could seal a big-money move in future – talking in-depth over the potential of African players at this present moment.

Sule, who was capped ten times by his country, scoring two goals, is now retired – giving his verdict as a pundit surrounding the potential of his continent’s footballing legacy.

The 45-year-old has also gone on to state that both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mane could be destined to “seal a massive deal” away from their respective clubs in the near future.

The Senegalese forward has become a revelation for us since putting pen to paper on a £34 million deal from Southampton back in 2016, well and truly redeeming his price tag which could debatably seem like pennies given his contribution to our recent success both in Europe and domestically.

This season, Mane has arguably been our best player, scoring 14 goals and assisting seven others in the league alone spanning 24 starts for the Reds according to WhoScored.

As well as this, the 27-year-old has averaged the highest amount of completed dribbles out of the entire squad whilst also registering the third best key passes per game ratio behind fellow key men Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah.

Indeed, judging by these figures, Sule could be right in suggesting one of our paramount talisman could seal a big transfer in future after raising his game – with both Barcelona and Real Madrid recently linked.

Will Sadio Mane seal a move to Barcelona or Real Madrid?

Yes

Yes

No

No

“He has raised his game at Liverpool and value in the last two seasons,” Sule told Goal.

“He’s currently in the form of his life and stands a big chance also to seal a massive deal.”

The temptation to cash-in on Mane could be there in future considering his age, but as of this moment, there is little doubt most Reds would prioritise keeping him at Anfield.
