Jose Reina, Luis Garcia, Fernando Morientes and Xabi Alonso have all been called up to Spain’s provisional 27-man squad for the World Cup.

The squad is scheduled to get together on May 8th but the Liverpool players will not attend due to their FA Cup Final preparations.

Spain have been drawn alongside Ukraine, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia in Group H at the World Cup which begins in Germany on 9 June.

They have arranged warm-up friendlies against Russia in Albacete on 27 May, Egypt in Elche on 3 June and Croatia in Geneva on 7 June.
