Liverpool have long been linked with numerous midfielders this summer but it seems their never-ending hunt to find a suitable prospect for their engine room is coming to an end.

Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham is expected to join Jurgen Klopp’s ranks next summer, according to a report that dropped yesterday.

The Daily Mail broke the news that despite a heap load of Europe’s best sides challenging for Bellingham’s signature, Liverpool have come out on top.

This will be music to the ears of fans, who have been crying out for the club to sign a midfielder, particularly the England international.

However, the news that Bellingham will be joining Liverpool means one midfielder whose contract expires next summer will be wanting out from Merseyside.

Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg announced via Twitter that Naby Keita is unhappy with his current situation at Liverpool and wants to leave the club.

This is a bitter-sweet situation, it will be a shame to lose Keita on a potential free transfer but the heights Bellingham can reach under Jurgen Klopp are scintillating, to say the least.

Despite the reports of Bellingham being a done deal to Liverpool, nothing is concrete, especially in the world of football transfers, expect this one to be ongoing for the foreseeable.
